Strange keyboard problem

I'm running an Abit KT7-RAID mb and I've recently encountered a weird keyboard problem. On a cold boot, it works just fine. However, after about 15-20 minutes, it starts going nuts. When I try to type, I get random characters or a bunch of beeping. I thought the keyboard might have had some stuck keys or just have died, so I bought a new one. Same problems. When I reboot the computer, I get a "keyboard error" message from BIOS, so it's gotta be hardware. The mouse ps/2 port doesn't experience these problems, just the keyboard port. Could something be overheating in that port or maybe there is a loose solder connection? My temp fix will be to get a USB adapter for the kb. Any thoughts on this strange problem? Thanks to all.

Stan

Did you try to replace another keyboard and get the same error, if so, I think your motherboard or better yet your keyboard is definitely bad.

I have 2 new keyboards and both do the same thing, so I'm pretty sure it's not the keyboard.

are all of them are the same keyboard model? Did you try to reinstall a new driver? Also, are your keyboard USB connector, I had a few problem with USB keyboard, using PS/2 and I get it to work quite fine.
