storage on D Drive

Specs: Windows XP, 230
If I copy the WINDOWS folder (2g) onto my D data drive and then delete the folder from C: drive will all my programmes still work and if I want to put it back again is this easily managed? Just an experiment - there are no problems.

It is impossible to delete windows folder from c: or format drive c when os is active.

This won't work. I'll be surprised if Windows even lets you delete that WINDOWS directory.

Why would you want to?

possibly to create more space on the C: drive when the Data card has so much more space to use.
