This is driving me nuts! I keep getting these stop messages! Most of the time I can’t see what the message is because the screen goes blank, but sometimes if I push some keys (this only worked twice so far) the screen will come back and I can read the message, I found this out by mashing the keys with my fist in anger. :)
Here are the messages I’ve been able to read so far:
Unexpected_Kernel_Mode_Trap
And…
Driver_Irql_Not_Less_Or_EqualAnd NONE of my games work correctly, Midtown Madness is choppy, UT2003 gives me a “General protection fault!” error, and Deadly Dozen generates errors.
Do you think my cheap-ass raid card is causing this?
I know the CPU is not overheating because I ran Prime95 all night @ 65C with no problems, but as soon as I started using it today I got another stop error (I think, It wouldn’t let me see though). And Microsoft memory tester says my ram is fine, but can it be trusted?New egg.com has a 30-day refund policy, so I have about 25 days left to find out if this is software of hardware problem.
Here are my specs in case you need them:
