status file window comew when computer is turned on but won't configure. have to cancel several times before it goes away. how do i get rid of it.

You haven't supplied enough info.
We need to know
- what the message says, exactly??
- the make and model of your brand name system, or if you have a generic system, the make and model of your desktop mboard.
If you don't know, we at least need to know whether it's a desktop or tower computer, or a laptop computer.- any other info you can supply such as....
- when did this first start happening - after what or after you did what or after what software was installed??
- are there any other symptoms?
- etc., etc.
