Ok, alot of my Usb devices are giving me static shocks when I try to use them. (Not when I'm plugging them in, I turn the puter off when doing that)

Two USB mice one game controller I have give me small static shocks while I'm using them. Which makes them impossable to use. The devices are detected just fine and work just fine.

I'm using a Laptop, it has two USB ports and the same thing happens in both. Anyone know what this could be?

Funny, they had this problem at MTS (Manitoba Telecom Systems) and they never did figure out what it was. The union raised hell and the workers stopped using the computer banks.

They finally solved the problem by placing ground straps around the wrists with the ground wire hooked to the building's grounding system. They also increased the humidity in the building, and asked people to use a good quality fabric softener on their clothes (static build up in the fabric is minumized by fabric softener)

Try putting a humidifier in the room.
Do you have electric heat?
