Start-up problem

OS: Windows XP
CPU/Ram: pentium 3
Product: Dell

Last night my computer suddenly decided stop responding and the screen went blank. now when I try ot power it up, it gives me the first Dell screen, beeps, and stops. The CPU is still running(the power supply anyways) but nothing is being loaded. Any suggestions?

The beep isn't the problem, it just won't startup. Is there any way to get around the startup problem and run it in safe mode maybe?
