|Sorry if this has been posted before but I've been on the internet all day looking for advice on this!|
I went to start my Acer Aspier 5920 yesterday morning, and it started up with the white 'Acer' screen and then stayed there, I then pressed F12 and booted it from that menu and it went to the next screen - the black one with the green loading bar. The bar loads for a while then stops moving. I press a button and it starts moving again and loads up.
When the laptop loads to the desktop it starts 'bing'ing for a couple of seconds - as if a key was stuck or being pressed.
I then discovered the 'h' button doesn't work at all, and when I try to get a capital y,u,b,n by pressing <shift> and the appropriate letter it doesn't work, however when I put caps locks on it does. As the keys in question are all next to each other I'm assuming it must be something to do with the wires or something?
I took the keys off to clean underneathe but I'm afraid that didn't help either! I've ran all my scanners - virus, spyware, malware - but can't find anything! Once the computer starts, everything seems to run normal except from the keys.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I put it in for repair or buy a replacement keyboard!
