standby problem

Installed a wireless keyboard and mouse then system won't go into standby. uninstalled them and went back to the wired ones, system still won't go into standby. Get a message the keyboard is preventing it from going into standby. I'M STUMPTED....HELP
system won't go into standby after installing a wireless keyboard and mouse. Any ideas?
Maybe a dumb question, but why do you want your PC to go into standby?

Go to Device manager -> Click on the View Menu -> Show Hidden Devices. It maybe a Plug & Play device driver, and will go into hiding when the device is removed.
If it still dosn't show up, then we are back at square 1.
