I checked it out and there's a lot of things that cause a computer to restart so I was hoping someone could narrow it down. I went into "startup and recovery" settings and disabled restart, so now I have a blue screen error message to work with instead of reboots. Can anyone make sense of this:
Technical information

contact your... etcI just installed 512mb ddr ram and a radeon 9600xt before it started. Something to do with one of these is definately the problem. At first I thought power supply but not so much anymore since I found out windows is responsible for the restarts, but if you want to know I have an antec 350 watt supply with 28 35 and 21A for 3.3, 5, and 12v respectively. I changed some BIOS settings ( disabled shadowing and upped ... memory something... from 64 to 256 (256mb card...made sense to me)), no change. I also got the most up to date driver from ATI's website (tho it's a sapphire card). I'm really not sure what it could be. The room isnt warm at all and the case is wide open with 2 small front fans and 1 rear exhaust, and the card has its fan going so I dont think it's overheating. The crashes tend to happen in games, but once while a game update was installing. The first was in a game, after I upped the graphics and started playing. second was while loading a game. most resent was during loading again. I seem to be able to browse the web and type long messages just fine. Anyway, if anyone could make more sense of this situation I would appreciate it.

just got a stop 0x00000050 "page fault in non page area" error while downloading the bios update and browsing for answers

It's the RAM. I still have to check it but apparently...
"CAUSE
This behavior may occur if one of the following conditions is true:
• One or more of the random access memory (RAM) modules that are installed on your computer are faulty.
• The RAM configuration is incompatible with Windows XP. "
so if anyone's bothering with this post, is there an obvious reason 2 256s and 1 512 wouldnt work together, or did i just buy faulty ram?
