speedup starting screen & turnoff

when i start my pc it takes nearly 2 miniutes to show desktop.how to speedup the starting and turnoff of pc?

Stop your startup programs from starting up, and your cpu is equal to a pIII 1GHz or so and you have no ram. You will not see much of an improvement with that combo. Go back to sp1 and get a small antivirus to save memory or upgrade.

More RAM and you could probably eliminate some of the programs in your Msconfig 'Startup' list.
