Specs: Windows 7 Home Premium, 1.864 GHz / 4000 MB
Hello ,
I recently bought a Speed-link Strike FX controller/gamepad Wireless , it can be used for PC and PS3.
So i open the box and i dont see the USB charger for it , so i go in to my local store , buy an USB wire , well it has USB on other side and the controller type of USB which i need to connect to the controller in order to charge , so i plug in , i charge it for like 16 hours , and it still isn't working , of course i putted in the USB receiver so i can receive signal from Controller, but it isn't working , the LED light on the USB receiver is on , and the controller LED lights are on too . but it isn't working for some reason .
Ive installed the drivers and all that kind of stuff , and it's even saying the device is working perfectly , but i have tryed the controller or 2 diffrent games , and it isnt answering.

Heres the controller type.

Drivers, Manuals, FAQs

READ the manual ! It's probably also on the CD that came with it !
You must install the software for it according to the directions otherwise it probably won't work properly.
Usually you DO NOT plug in the USB connection to it until you have installed at least some of the software for it.

READ the FAQs !

Go to Control Panel - set it to display as Small icons or Large icons, NOT Categories - Programs and Features
Find the listing for the software you installed and un-install it.

Unplug the Speed FX from the USB port it's plugged into.
Restart Windows.

Follow the directions in the manual.
You probably need to install at least some software BEFORE you plug the Strike FX into a USB port

Another thing - plug it into a USB port that is directly connected to the mboard, otherwise it may not work correctly.

On a laptop - one built into the case.

On a desktop - a port on the back of the case.
Sometimes front USB ports on the case have inadequate wiring, but it you try one of those, the ones lowest down on the front of the case are most likely to be fine if you also have USB ports higher up on the front of the case..

I've tryed it , everything you sayd and everything in the FAQ , the LED lights go out eventually and i have to click ''home'' again in order to see the led lights again flashing , if i double tap in the LED lights will flash faster , i still think its the charging issue , tho i have charged it over 14-16hours , and still it says charging , in the manual it says take the charge off when there are no LED lights flashing , but it has been 16hours and in the manual it sayd 3hours or a bit more . :S help me

From the FAQs:

"Make sure you’ve installed the correct driver version for your gamepad model."

There are two very similar models.
Make sure you choose the right model that the drivers are for if you are given a choice when you install the software, and use the right drivers - the drivers are different going by their labelling.

The Product No may be obvious on a label on it, or examine the packaging it came in.

Product No.: SL-4443-SBK-01
Drivers, manual, FAQs

Product NO: SL-6565-SBK-01
Drivers, manual, FAQs

If that doesn't help, read the FAQS !

If that doesn't help, if you DO have the USB charging cable and USB transceiver plugged into a USB port directly connected to the mboard, it may be defective. If you bought it localy, take it back and exchange it for another one. If you bought it on the web, go to where that was on the web and see what their policy is regarding returning defective products.

It's possible you just got one that was bad out of the box. Try returning it for another one.
