Speed of two computers

Specs: Windows 7 & XP, 4gb
I have two computers. One is a Asus M2N-E with an Athlon 64 3800+ processor at 2.4 gb with two 2gb matched Corsair memory sticks. The other computer is an Asrock K10N78M Pro with an AMD Dual core Athlon X2 processor at 3 gb speed with two 2gb of matched Corsair memory sticks
I have notice that the Asus is faster than the Asrock. Would there be any reason for this?
A side note: The harddrive in the Asrock has 16 mb cache and the harddrive in the Asus has 8 mb cache

Dual core cpu is always faster than single core cpu. What about video card? May be there is a lot of crap running on asrock system.

When I looked both was running around 38c.

The Asrock has onboard video. The Asus has a pci express x16 card.
That didn't cross my mind but that is probably the difference.
