Specific Drivers problem?

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 2.393 GHz / 1021 MB
After awhile of using my computer, the drivers will eventually mess-up. I won't be able to run games as it won't recognize resolutions on my graphics driver, sound will sometimes cut out on any program and my webcam will constantly fail to initialize. I have also noticed that this usually only happens after using Windows Movie Maker or Dark Basic's "The 3D Game Maker" after a few times. It would be really nice to fix as I use Windows Movie Maker A-LOT! Also, my graphics card is an FX5500, my sound is integrated as SOUNDMAX digital audio, and my webcam is an Intel PC Camera Pro. I am also running WindowsXP Pro with Service Pack 3. These seem to be the only drivers and hardware that messes up that I have tested so far. Anyone know what could possibly be causing this?
Thanks in Regards,
Smizz
P.S. When it occurs I usually hold the power button to Shut-Down instead of normally telling it to shut down itself as I'm afraid it might save the drivers settings as I have had problems with that before :(

You realize that the FX5500 is not only old (released in 2003), but never was a very good gaming card to begin with, right?

Try this driver:

It might be a heat problem. If you're comfortable, try openning the computer and putting a fan close to the computer and see if that work.

I tried your idea, it worked! Must of been overheating in the specific spot.
