there is no sound coming from my speakers although my computer says everything is working properly. i have all the correct things installed and they worked before.
Worked before what? Did you change something?
worked before the computer was dismantled and moved to another room when connected up again theres no sound
The first thing to do is, make sure the speakers are plugged into the correct jack.
yeah theres 3 different ones and i`ve tried all of them but still nothing.
Check the mixer control panel. Are the volume sliders at least partially turned up, nothing muted?
they are all turned up none are muted. when the speakers are turned on they make a sound but when you try and play anything nothing comes out.
Is your sound card integrated on to the motherboard or is it a separate PCI card? If it's a card, open up the case and make sure it is seated all the way in the slot. PCI cards can wiggle loose.
