Speakers aren't working

CPU/Ram: 2400 mhz, 256 ddr

my speakers aren't working after i installed polarbits sound recorder..how do i make them work? i think its just a software error and it should work if i change a setting...any ideas? thx

Common problem-Make sure the cord is pluged into the right spot

On the menu bar clikc the speaker (on the left side)and make sure the mute box isint checked

does the sound work with anything else?
