I recently recovered my PC from a reinstall of Windows XP Pro, and now the graphics and sound devices are getting errors. As far as the graphics device, it's a ATI Radion X800 Pro. I get an error when my computer first starts that states: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application." This error refers to the ATI catalyst Control Center. As for the sound device, Plug and Play detects a sound controller but says: "The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name." when i try to update the driver. I noticed in my device manager that there are "Legacy" video and sound drivers, but there is no uninstall for said drivers, leaving me wondering what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated, and if you have any more questions, please ask and i will answer as best i can.

after doing a few hours of research, i found out why the errors for my graphics card programs were coming up, i had to install .net framework. As for the audio driver, i believe it has something to do with the registry, however i have no idea on how to remedy that situation.
