Sorry about the repost of this.I removed it from My Computing but looks like its still posted.I needed to edit scence the edit feature don't work i decided to just delete and repost. Please don't remove this post.Im not trying to break rules.I forgot to put something in my post.So here is the post.

I took this off Networking fourm.I know it mentions a issue with the card. But i think it could be the sound makeing it act this way.

Sometimes when i click the e to connet to the internet ie opens and all i see is a white screen for a min. This also happens if i open in a new window.D LINK said to put card in first PCI slot.I did that it didn't seem to help. Also i had to disable the com 2 port because there was a yellow (!) by the soundcard.I think my motherboard would be compatable because it has 5 PCI slots.the soundcard was on the first PCI but i moved it to try what D-LINK said.Nothing seemed to work so im posting here.Everything works very good with Windows XP Pro.So nothing is wrong with card.I have reenabled the com2 port.Is there anything else i can do besides disableing something?I had a different networkcard that gave same problem so it not the card. You can go to this link to see the problem.Thats why i removed it from network fourm.

not sure if this will help...but I would try booting to safe mode, then getting into system properties > device manager (like your pic)...then, one at a time, start clicking on the devices & see what's listed.

For example, click CD ROM...if your device is listed once, it should be fine...BUT if you find that it's listed more than once, remove ALL entries. Go right down the list (disk drive, display adapter, etc) & do that with all devices...if listed more than once, remove ALL entries...reboot & let Windows reconfigure itself...

Yes, it HAS to be done in safe mode...if done in normal windows mode, only one device listing will appear in device manager...checking it in safe mode may show multiple entries
