Hi, I have a SoundBlaster Live soundcard installed on my computer..i've tried all versions of drivers and now i have the most recent however whenever i load games such as quake iii arena, return to castle wolfenstein and c&c renegade, the movies have really bad sound in them. the sound is always stuttering and stopping and restarting and sometimes it doesn't start again. Any help on what the problem might be. I've also tried reducing sound card hardware acceleration from directx but it didn't work. Thanks
Are the CD's scratched? Is the CD Drive working right? Have you tried reinstalling the games after the updates to the Soundcard? also have you updated the games to newest versions? sometimes they release updates to fix stuff like that.

Yes I tried all that however they still give errors..I've checked the CDs and they don't have any scratches. Moreover i've tried the games on different cd rom drives but with the same results. It seems to be a soundcard issue, i've heard the creative had some DMA trouble that could have caused it however i still have the same trouble even with the latest drivers. Any other comments are most welcome..thanks
