Specs: 2000 Pro, P2 266mhz/192mb
I have an SB AWE64 for ISA (manufactured 1997) & an Ensoniq AudioPCI for PCI (1998).

The AudioPCI is small and has a single chip on it. The AWE64 is almost as big as a video card and has many chips. Which one would be better for games and programs made before 2000? Computer is a Pentium PII 266mhz with 192mb of memory and running Windows 2000. Thanks.

Many older games won't produce any sound unless the sound card is a Soundblaster or a 100% soundblaster-compatible card.
The only way to ensure that is to have a soundblaster card installed. Does that help your decision any?
