I just got a new game and I needed a better computer to play it. I got my brother's old one and it's good enough, but for some reason, the sound is bad in some places. It makes the game lag, and if I open a song in Windows media player, it skips bad. I tried it in winamp and it worked fine, so I thought it might be something with a windows card already in the computer or something. Anyways, I tested the sounds on the directx diag and the soundmax driver, which is my sound card, worked fnie, but something called microsoft synthesizer was skipping. Can anyone tell me what the synthesizer is, or figure out why the sound skips? Thanks
