I have recently purchased creative soundblaster 5.1 de and creative inspire 5200 5.1 speaker system. Right from the first day of installation, the centre speaker is not working and am not able to hear anything from it. but when i transfering the centre speaker into front left, it works fine. So there is no problem in the speaker. I am using powerdvd Xp for viewing DVD movies which is Dolby and dts complaint. Is there any adjustments in the soundblaster 5.1 DE settings to get the sound from centre speaker. Plz let me know the details as early as possible

Here is a response to another person having the same problem. See if it helps:

Creative sound cards come with the Play center software. Open playcenter software so that it is in small mode (not Juke box mode). on the right of the display, you will see a vertical line segmenting the player with a light gray arrow along the line. Click the arrow and the two segments will slide apart to display a keypad with some options. On the bottom of the key pad you will see a link that says CMSS. Click that link. There will be a choice between movie mode and regular mode. Movie mode turns on the center speaker for surround sound, while the regular mode leaves the speakers at 4 point surround sound.

Also, make sure your speaker settings are at 5.1 like the goldenknob said.

Good luck!
