Sound on MVP4 chipset

Comment:
I have an older computer which had a hard drive failure. I've managed to locate and get back into operation all conponents apart from sound on the system. Had drivers for the system on some cd's but may not have all the correct ones. While searching for drivers discovered that the chipset is a VIA Apollo MVP4 and has sound integrated. How do I get the sound up and running and where can I get the required drivers?

The Apollo MVP4 is the northbridge chip...the audio is on the southbridge. It's *probably* the VT82C686A/B, but you need to know for sure before you can download/install the driver.

The integrated video is Trident Blade video built into one of the two MVP4 main chips: For ME: http://www.viaarena.com/default.asp... You can also use Trident Blade video drivers
