I had onboard wavetable type sound device in my computer which was ok when I played audio cd. But when I upgraded to WinXP I could not find the appropriate update for the sound device and Xp kept reminding me each time I tried to play a cd that there was no sound device in my computer. So I decided to buy a proper sound card - enter Creative SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 digital. The diagnostics indicate its been properly installed. Now, when I insert an audio cd, I don't get those reminders from XP anymore, the cd plays but there is NO sound (I have a subwoofer with 2 speakers).
Is there anyone out there who can point me in the right direction - as to what I have not done right, please?
