Hi antzan: This is a guess, it seams that since you're using slow CPU for Windows XP it might be better to find a PCI slot sound card with XP drivers (should be able to find a cheap one) to replace the ISA card. PCI slot should be able to communicate better with CPU over a ISA slot device. from See Ashley problem below yours for removing device from Device Manager.
