I have a couple sound cards here and don't know a thing about them.Which one would be the best to install and can I get a driver for it? Sound Blaster pci128 Mod#4700 or Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold Mod#4540

No, on the sound cards. The PCI 128 may have the 1373 chipset. For those, I use the drivers on gateway's site.

You can just look at the cards and see what's printed on the black chips soldered to it. You don't need any paperwork.

It may just be easier to install the card and run something like Everest to ID the card.

I prefer the soundblaster cards with the 1370, 1371 or 1373 chipset since the gateway drivers have always worked fine. But I'm sure with either card you could locate the drivers.
