I dropped a fairly heavy object on the top of my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ240E laptop. When I opened the laptop for the first time after the incident I got an error about a "change in hardware." I restarted and since then I can get to the startup screen, into bios, etc., but when it comes to the point where the OS should be started I just get a continuous black screen. The laptop didn't really sustain any noticable physical damage so I'm hoping I just knocked something lose. I've tried to open the case to look for any parts that might be lose or damaged (But I still haven't gotten the case completely off.)
Does anyone have any ideas where I should start troubleshooting?
....And, do you have any pointers on how to dissamble a fairly new Sony Vaio from the case.
