ok, so i got a FX-240 laptop, in the back 2 slots for ram, one filled with 128.when i went to put the second one in (that i bought off ebay) I found that the ram would only fit in upside down.whats that about? It didnt work either.the slots were faced back to back.

You're doing something wrong.
The SODIMM slots should mirror each other, holding the memory card at a 30 degree angle and slowly lowering it to a flat position should work.
The memory is also keyed, so it can only go in one way.
