I had to reinstall Windows 2000 following a virus on my laptop. However, when I went to reconnect to the internet it said that I have no modem installed. I was advised to download my modem driver and install that and my modem would work. I have managed to download the driver and its now on a cd. However, I don't know what to do next! Can someone help please?

Go into control panel & then devices manager , expand the list and highlight modem , click on it then click on update the driver it will bring up the wizard and you need to tick off cd rom & it will pick up the driver & install.
