The driver for all hard drives is built in to Windows and isn't available for downloading from anywhere. It sounds like your hard drive may have failed, in which case you need to install a new one.

For confirmation if it has failed or not, test it with SeaTools for DOS which runs from a bootable CD which you have to make from the downloaded SeaTools ISO file. Download SeaTools for DOS from here:

You can test any make of drive with SeaTools.

In addition to above:
If you do not appear to get anything out of the drive and the test above does not 'find' the hard drive, look into your BIOS set up to see if the drive is recognized there. If your BIOS does not recognize the drive then the drive itself, or one of the connectors to the drive are bad.
Remove and replace the connectors to the drive.
Try another signal cable.
Try another power connector from your power supply (more likely if a desktop) if you have spares.
Try the hard drive installed as a second drive on another computer (desktop).
If these fail, replace the drive and reload operating system from recovery media available from Sony.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
