Sony Vaio over heats!!!!

my sony vaio laptop recently been over heating and shutting down after 5 minutes of useing. if i try to open bigger programs it just shuts down.
should i try to attempt to open it up to see wats going on?
plus i have no money to even pay for someone to repair :)

How does it eleminate heat? Is it the typical keyboard dispersing heat sink?

i can hear a fan and stuff... but i wanna open it up.. but i wouldn't know wat to do once i open it up.. i don't know to much about laptops

If you dont know what your doing, opening up your laptop is the worse thing you could do.(Truse me, I've done it before you'd be surprised how complex it really is!) If it is still under warentee or it is insured, clam it for a new laptop or a repair. You could also try taking it back to the store(maby)
