Be forewarned...Regarding the other "service" methods for unlocking laptops....
We are 100% certain that NONE of the software or bootdisk methods mentioned on most websites will work. For OTHER brands of laptops they *MIGHT* work. For SONY laptops, they definitely will NOT. Actually, there is only one other place in the U.S.A that we know of other than SONY directly that can perform this type of work on ALL Sony VAIO Laptops. There is also only one other place in Canada.
SONY charges $249 if you can prove with an original invoice that you are the owner and you purchased from an authorized SONY retailer. The other 3rd party location charges $99 plus labor plus S/H.
