I have a vaio, I tried to burn a movie [homemade movie] or just pictures to a DVD and it appears that it burned, but when I put back the DVD to see if it really burns it says that the disk is blank, although I look at the back of the disk and it looks like it burns. I don't know if it's the programs ['cause I've tried more than one, like Nero or Roxio] or that I'm using DVD+R [supposedly I can use both + or - R]. Please help. Thanks.

Does the drive READ DVDR disks that you have previously burned OK? Is this something new, or have you always had this problem? Are you using disks from the same spindle that you successfully burned from before?
yes, the drive reads the DVDR. This is something new and I'm using the same disks.
Did you format the disk first, and when you were finished did you get a choice to either leave the disk as is and only use that program to read it, or close it and enable it to be read on any dvd drive?
Yes, you need to finalize the session or the disk, as the case may be when writing data to a disk.
