I recently purchased a TMobile Sony Ericsson GC89 GPRS data card for internet connection. I installed it on my laptop and it worked beautifully for many weeks. One morning I inserted the card into the slot and opened the connection manager and clicked on GPRS/EDGE and I receieved the notificaion device not detected. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the hardware and software information via the CD ROM that came with the product. Still the same problem. I have installed the hardware and sfotware information from the Sony Ericsson site. Still the same problem. I have even completely recovered my system and reinstalled, the same problem persists At one point my laptop would not even recognize that the device had been inserted into the slot. THis no longer happens when inserted and I check via device manager, the Sony Ericsson Modem is shown with a yellow question mark, and under other devices PCI Serial Port and Network Adapter are shown as well with a yellow question mark. I have attempted to update via the device manager and I get error messages as well. Can you help solve this mystery as I rely heavily on my computer for work and I need to be able to connect with a PCMCIA adapter such as this card.
