Well, to whom it may concern, i don't remember when i encountered this problem but i actually cant use my dvd drivers, i have 2 connected

1/ Sony AW-Q170A DVD RW
2/ Sony CD-RW CRX320E

Both started having error reports and stoped getting shown in "my computer". I never asked for help on the web on such kind of problems, but i cant get help by myself. I will try to provide most information i can.

I realized that something was wrong while trying to reformat my pc. i cant use system restore as the restore point doesnt do great change to my drivers, nor can i reformat my pc using the F9 thingy cause it would detect the DVD but wont boot from it.

Am getting this error

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

I tried finding drivers for my device but it was unsuccessful.

Have you entered the bios to see what the boot order for your hard drive and cd/dvdrom are? If you want to reformat, set the cd/dvdrom to boot first, then restart the computer and reinstall xp, or try the repair option if you have files you need on the computer.
