Solved Somebody please verify the compatibility of these components

Specs: N/A
I've been looking to upgrade my 6 year old Pentium 4 rig to one that lasts another 6 years. The usage is very very basic, mostly internet surfing and some songs and HD movies. Over the past few weeks I've gathered a list of components. Since I am in India, local availability is an important criteria and I've assembled a list on Flipkart, India's most popular online retailer. Here is the list and I would like someone to go through it and just check wether something is incompatible as well as also recommend the best motherboard out of the list to me :-
AMD 3.6 GHz AM3+ FX4100 Processor
LG GH24NS71/GH24NS72 Internal Optical Drive
Corsair CMPSU-430CXV2UK 430 Watts PSU
Dell USB 104 Quiet Key USB 2.0 Keyboard
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) PC RAM (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9)
WD Caviar Blue 500 GB Desktop Internal Hard Drive (WD5000AAKX)
HP 3 Button Optical USB 2.0 Mouse (Black)
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard

Is this list compatible and should I order it or does something need to be replaced?

Didn't look too close but go for a 2 x 4Gb memory kit instead of a single memory chip. I'd also opt for a wireless keyboard/mouse set.

I agree with what Skip said about the RAM, unless you were planning to add a 2nd 4GB stick of RAM soon after building the system?

There's no video card on the list so I assume you plan to use the motherboard's onboard video? If that's the case, you might want to consider a motherboard based on a newer chipset - either that or add a low end video card.

✔ Best Answer
If the usage is very basic there is no need for fx 4100, just get AMD APU & forget about the video card.

Can you guys explain why a 2x4GB memory. Also I'd love an APU but I can't seem to find it anywhere in India! Previously was considering A6 3650. And I didn't get the newer chipset part. I'm a noob at hardware so can you guys please explain it in a little details.

The performance difference is dramatic between running memory in single channel and dual channel.

My build, an A8-3870K on a cheap MSI A55M-P33 motherboard showed nearly double benchmark performance between 4Gb in single channel and 2x4Gb in dual channel.

kuwese gave you the links in #3 and I agree with his choices.

In case I can't find an APU, it's fine with a fx4100?
