Recently my sound has stopped working. I am not getting any errors, but when I play games or MP3's or movies, I can't hear any sound. But the strange thing is, I can still hear the sounds that Windows uses, like the sound when you log on or close a program. I checked the volume control and nothing is muted, and there are no hardware conflicts in device manager. I am not sure what sound card I have, but when I look in device manager it says Vinyl AC'97 and Sound Blaster Pro or Compatible.
