In September I posted a link to Unknown Device Identifier. It was brought to my attention today that this is software stolen from Mike "catfish" Moniz at Halfdone Development, Halfdone.com. My original thread is:http://computing.net/hardware/wwwboard/forum/17250.html
You can read about it here:
http://www.halfdone.com/Development/UnknownDevices/
and
http://www.halfdone.com/SOTW/UnknownDevicesRip/Some of HunterSofts other activities are here:
http://www.halfdone.com/SOTW/Message2Huntersoft/
All positive references to HunterSoft have been removed from my web pages and Unknown Devices (the original) is available at:
http://www.halfdone.com/Development/UnknownDevices/
Skip

Real sad people have to steal others programs , hey Skip !!
By the way Skip, You have a great site there!!!

Hi skip
now Get a good lawyer! ,
just some thoughts...
in the next build version make sure there is some digital id linked only to you and slap some legal copyright stuff in there about reverse engineering and decompiling etc,
i think what your product does is a great idea. And lets face it this rip off merchant couldnt light a fire given two sticks (and one of those is a match)have a word with other writers of app's eg jv16 ,
at jv16.org , these guys wrote a good proggy for sorting out the registry etc,it might be worth asking them how they would react to a similar rip off as they started as a small app and seem to have taken off mainstream.dont let the B###d's grind ya down
