Comment: Hi I have a Verbatim CDRW which i bought last month and it works fine. but today, i tried to burn with Nero but it had some errors. It said burn Process failed. I installed hotburn and it didnt detect a CD-RW in my system. I went to device manager and it says ATAPI CDRW 40/12/48x. Anyone could help me please? I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Reply: (edit)Before todays failed burn were you using NERO also or Hotburn? Do you know winxp has it's own "Roxio lite" software as part of whole system? I've had to disable winxp's roxio & installed Nero plus the nero aspi layer from their web site. Don't know if Hotburn uses a diff aspi layer or what! Careful as all burn software don't get along well togather! I use/install one brand at a time

Reply: (edit)yes I used Nero before. when that error showed up, i tried installing Hotburn because ive used it in my other system. So I uninstalled all my burning software, restarted the system and re-install hotburn. still shows that it doesnt detect my CD-Rw. xD
