After installing Vista Home Premium on my Dell Latitude C640 Laptop ,I only get a small screen in the middle But when I connect an external monitor I have full screen I know this model is not recommended for Vista but it seems to work fine apart from the above mentioned Had same problem with another laptop before but found a setting in the Bios to sort it I have looked through all pages of the bios here but can't seem to find it Any Ideas Cheers

Install the display adapter driver, then set the screen resolution to that of the screen.

Hi Thanks for replying so fast I tried that after installing vista but got "setup was unable to complete installation.Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver first" I think it's because the drivers I'm installing from the Dell site are for XP maybe I need to try and find some drivers for Vista Thanks ....

Ya think? Of course you have to use Vista drivers but I don't think there are any available for your old graphics. Vista's going to perform poorly with just 512MB RAM anyway...go back to XP.
