what does it do.my sound has suddenly deteriorated abd i;ve checked everything.ive a yellow question mark beside the sm bus controller in device manager.is that the prob???thanks

i dont really know exactly what it does but SM Bus drivers are normally in the 'chipset' drivers for that motherboard. the chipset drivers are normally available on makers website

That has nothing to do with your audio.
