slow start up of xp os

Windows XP, core2duo 2.53ghzs,1gb of ram

Dear Sir,
Im using Windows XP Professional&Windows vista ultimate as dual boot.I have a problem in booting of XP while vista is normal.XP runs 12-14 cycles to start.My Computer configuration as below:
I am using DG31 Pr intel desktop board,my processor is Intel core2duo with 2.53 Ghzs.I have 1GB ram&250GB harddisk.
I clear the enties in start up tab in "msconfig" exept antivirus,realtec audio&intel graphics media accelerator.I am using Symantec 10.0 Corporate Edition antivirus.
