slow downs with generic ram??

anyone ever had this problem with generic ram before?? the ram is not going bad but you will LAG servely in games with generic ram?

I will be the first to admit that I don't have an immdiate answer, but offer some thoughts: there could ony be two reasons I could think of for your problem. First, what is the clock on your RAM? If you dropped from 333 to 266, that could be a factor. 2nd, I would pull lyour RAM sticks, take them in to a trustworthy shop (maybe Best Buy?) and have them run stress tests on it. Generic RAM is noted for being buggy. I had a bad stick once and it took me several weeks of hell to find out what was randomly crashing my computer.
