Someone please help !
A few months ago I upgraded my CPU, mobo and a few other bits. I had a 32x Lite On CD Burner that was burnin ok at just over the 4.5 min mark for a full CD. Since upgrading CPU & Mobo etc, my 32x burner had doubled in time to burn a full CD. I replaced the burner for a 52x burner as I thought maybe the burner had coincidently conked at the same time as upgrade.
Needless to say the new 52x Lite on is still taking forever to burn a CD, and I'm talking 10 mins at current :-(
I have tried changing DMA mode, but no difference at all.
I'd really appreciate anything to try to cure this prob.

Hi Paul. I think you may be needing to upgrade the driver for your mobo. Or maybe the BIOS. They often need these to keep up with new hardware, etc. That's the only thing I can think of. I have a new Liteon 52x32x52x on an older mobo, AMD 2000+ and it burns a full disk in about 4 minutes. HTH
