My laptop crashed with data on it. I was told to put in usb device and make it a slave to run recovery software. I have the device don't seem to be able to get other laptop to see external drive. Know how to make a laptop HD a slave to another? HD crashed, should I bother? (I need to try)

Hi, Ham is correct. Adaptors are available for about $10.00. Some come with a bracket set to mount the 2 1/2" drive in a 3 1/2" drive bay in a desktop. Luck, Jim
