size of screws for Maxtor HDD?

This question may be silly. What is the size of the screws for the "Maxtor" hard drives? Thank you

I thought they were all the same, if you're talking about the ones that secure the drive in it's bay. I could be mistaken about that. My local PC store sells small packs of screws for a few cents if I ever need them.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

They are typically 6-32, 1/4".

Thank you very much folk. There are so many computer retail stores, but none of them sell screws for the hard drive.

Various thread sizes are used for fixing devices into the bays, depending on manufacturer.

Wideheads are best as they negate the need for washers.

However it is important, none are too long as they can foul the innards.

Go to your local pc shop and ask for some - you only need 4 max.

I have a collection, which I have built up over the years from scrappers found on the kerb.
