Hi everyone,
recently I got a GeForce 4 MX AGP graphics card, and I'm trying to install it on my computer. I plugged it on my AGP slot and turned on the PC... nothing happened... For now I'm using my onboard card. I entered the BIOS setup and I found a "Primary graphics adapter" option: it has two options, "PCI" and "OnBoard AGP (default)". I've tried with both but it does not make any difference: the computer still uses the onboard card.
I don't know exactly my motherboard model, but I know it has a SiS 730s chipset. I got the following information from SiSoftware Sandra 2004 (the last that runs on Win98):

I think a BIOS Upgrade may solve my problem (I read it somewhere), but I'm unable to find a suitable one. I'd really be grateful if someone helps me.

Go to the mother boards web site..
Track donw the model of your mother baord and find the latest bios version available.
At the same time you should be able to get the last version's of all the appropriate hardware drivers as well.
If not you can find most drivers at www.driverguide.com
IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT
A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD X64 3500+ Wnchst
Corsair 2x512 DDR400 Dual Channel
GV-NX6600128D PCIX Graphics Card
Ggbyte GT Pro CPU Cooler
Zalman VF700-CU VGA Cool

If you isntall Everest home that program should give you the model of the mother board also...
If not the model number should be printed on the board itself, usualy around the cpu and ram sockets or in between the pci slots.
From time to time they will also print eh model number allong the edge of the board also..

Your board make/model number is pretty much staring you in the face. Elitegroup (ECS) w/SiS730S chipset, so it's probably the K7SEM V3.0C. Do you have the manual? If so, read it over...if not, go to the website & download a copy.
Does this look like your board:
http://www.ecsusa.com/products/k7sem_v3.html
Enter your product info here & download the manual & any drivers that you may need:
http://www.ecsusa.com/downloads/downloads_main.cfm?to=Motherboard
Seems like a lot of other people have had the same problem with that board:

Everest home told me my motherboard is a PCChips M810LR. I downloaded the lastest bios update but I had no luck on getting my motherboard to detect my card... The onboard one is still used, form the POST screen to my OS... Any ideas?

Since you have 2 different softwares telling you it's 2 different boards, you should have just opened the case & looked for a model number on the board, rather than flashing an ECS board with a PCChips BIOS (yea, I know...many ECS & PCChips boards are "clones"). Still not a smart move...you're lucky your board works at all.
If you haven't already done so, check this site:

Checked the onboard features and they match M810LR's (Onboard Sound is different in these two boards, for example). To eliminate my doubts, I opened my pc and it is really a PCChips M810LR.

Never mind... Got it working... Plugged and then unplugged... Interesting, as it was not the first time I did that (although the first since I upgraded my bios)...
