A guy wanted me to update his computer for him from Win98 to WinXP Pro. Everything seems to be Ok but the video drivers. I discovered that Windows did not install the proper drivers.

In fact, there was no display adapter listed at all. In in the 'other devices' catagory there was a listing for 'VGA display adapter', that had the yellow mark by indicating not installed properly.

Before I upgraded I went to the hardware setup in Win98 and wrote down the basic computer setup.

Here is what Win98 said was the display adapter:

SiS 651_661FX_741_760_760GX_M661FX_M661MX_M741_M760_M7G0GX

This in a search engin gets nothing. I could probably find the driver if I knew for sure what I was looking for. His computer by the way is an AMD Sempron(tn) 2400+ with 225 MB RAM and now XP Pro.
