From what I googled it seems you need a new graphics card.

Minimum System Requirements:
400 MHz Pentium II or equivalent, or a 400 MHz G3 processor or better.
Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, or Windows XP. Warcraft III requires Mac OS® 9.0 or higher, or Mac OS X® 10.1.3 or higher
Warcraft III requires 128 MB of RAM. Virtual Memory should be enabled on computers running pre-Mac OS X versions of the Mac OS®.
A keyboard and mouse are required.
A hard drive with at least 550 MB of free space

8MB 3D video card (TNT, i810, Voodoo 3, Rage 128 equivalent or better) with DirectX 8.1 support. For Mac OS® systems, a video card consisting of an ATI Technologies or nVidia chipset with at least 16 MB of memory is required.
A DirectX-compatible 16-bit sound card is recommended. Warcraft III will work with the built-in sound features of the Mac OS®.

Recommended System Requirements:
600 MHz processor or better
256 MB of RAM
32 MB 3D Video card

PCI express cards WILL NOT fit a PCI slot, only PCI cards will, and you have limited choices there.. The best "bang" for the buck for a PCI card is the FX 5700 LE, but those are hard to find, You can also get "decent" pci card which are the FX5200 and 5500. I suggest getting it online it will be MUCH cheaper then most retail stores ( Like walmart and the such) Unless if you have a basic computer needs store around. ( Unlike me. )

Yea, onboard video doesn't cut it when it comes to gaming. Expect to pay about $100 for an FX5500 128mb/128-bit PCI card online. An FX5700LE will cost a even more. They'll both cost about $40-50 more at a retail store.

If you decide to upgrade, 64-bit cards are not all that great for gaming, but anything is better than onboard. An FX5200 would be OK & it would be a lot cheaper.

Here's a 128MB/64-bit FX5200 PCI card for $43 shipped:

If you want the 128-bit version (which is 30-40% faster), here's one for about $72 shipped:

ASUS A7N8X-X
Athlon XP 1800+

1280MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7
Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB
WinME/WinXP Pro SP1
