This is a really simple question and i feel like a plum posting it but it seems that my dvd-rom drives have stopped autoplaying cd's when they are put in to the drive. Not so long ago when a cd was inserted i would either get a stupid box asking what type of facility i wanted or the autorun.inf would be ran.

The drives in question are a ATAPI DVD-ROM and a MATIs---A DVD-RAM SW-9581.

Ant help would be appreciated,
Paul

Try going into devices manager, expand the list , and highlight your rom, click on properties and open, then properties again. In the box tick enable cd playback from this rom. Hope it does the trick.
