Ok i have 32 MB of SRAM and 128 MB of DRAM i have them in at the same time... and it comes on the memory check as 160... Do these work together simultaniosly or not...

And another question while i'm here... I replaced a 266 K6 processor with a 400mhz K6-2 processor... will this work right... it reads as 16 mhz... doesn't run like it of course but.. thats what it reads... is it just the board or are the sockets incompatible...?

You cannot run SIMMs & DIMMs together...but I have a feeling you're confusing them with single sided & double sided SDRAM. A SIMM has 72-pins & must be installed in matching pairs...a DIMM has 168-pins & can be installed singly or paired up with other DIMMs.

About the CPU change...did you set the voltage properly for the 400? I'm not sure what the 266 runs at but the 400 runs at 2.2v. What about the jumper settings? Did you set the FSB to 100mhz & the multiplier to 4.0x? Does your board even support 100mhz FSB? If not, set the FSB to 66mhz & the multiplier to 2.0x & the CPU speed will be seen as 400mhz.
